Deck Removal Without a Debris Pile Left Behind

An unsafe or unwanted deck is more than a stack of boards. Railings, stairs, framing, posts, fasteners and sometimes concrete footings all have to be separated, carried out and loaded safely.

MD Junk Pros handles the demolition and debris removal as one job. We protect the siding and surrounding yard, keep the work area controlled and leave the footprint cleared for rebuilding, landscaping or a different use.

How Deck Demolition Works

01

Review the structure

We assess the deck size, height, materials, attachment points, access route and items that must be protected.

02

Take it down safely

The crew dismantles the deck in controlled sections, separating boards, railings, stairs, framing and posts.

03

Load and clear

All included debris is carried out and loaded, then the work area is checked and cleared before we leave.

Questions answered

Deck Demolition FAQ

Do you remove the entire deck including posts?
Yes. We tear down the deck boards, railing, stairs, and support posts. We remove everything down to ground level. If you want the concrete footings removed too, we can discuss that during the estimate.
How long does a deck demolition take?
A standard residential deck takes about half a day to a full day depending on the size, height, and materials. Multi-level decks or composite materials may take longer.
Do you haul away all the debris?
Yes. Demolition and hauling are included in our price. We tear it down, load it up, and haul it all away. You're left with a clean space ready for whatever comes next.
Can you remove a deck attached to my house?
Yes. We carefully detach the deck from the house structure, ensuring no damage to your siding, foundation, or home exterior. We've done plenty of attached deck removals.
Do I need a permit for deck demolition?
Permit requirements vary by county and municipality. Most residential deck removals in Anne Arundel and Howard County don't require a demolition permit, but we recommend checking with your local building department.
How much does deck demolition cost?
Pricing depends on deck size, height, material type, and accessibility. A small 10x10 ground-level deck costs significantly less than a large raised deck. We provide free estimates after seeing the deck in person.
